Beyond The Sunset

A Christian hymn by Virgil Brock. The lyrics speak about comforting those who mourn because of the death of a loved one - that beyond the sunset, there is a better place where our toil has ended and eternal rest is found; where there will be no more pain and suffering but eternal joy; where we will forever be in God's presence; and where we will be reunited with those who've gone before us.

Jesus comforts Martha over the death of her brother Lazarus in John 11:25-26, telling her that He is the resurrection and the life, and that whoever believes in Him will live and never die. Such is the power of Jesus who is the Author and Creator of life, and who has secured our eternal life through His sacrifice for us on the cross. He offers us the gift of salvation where we can experience eternal life in an eternal relationship with God. Do we believe this? It is my prayer that you will find that hope beyond the susnet in Him.
