Rock Of Ages

A classic Christian hymn by Augustus Toplady. The lyrics speak of how we depend entirely on Jesus for salvation - How He has redeemed us by His blood, how only He can save by His hand alone, not by what we can offer but entirely by His grace, and how we depend on Him to take us home on that final day. In 2 Samuel 22:2-3, king David sings about God his Rock who delivered him from his enemies.

Jesus has saved us from sin and death. He is indeed our Rock of Ages who is our foundation and who remains faithful to His promises yesterday, today and forever. Thank You Jesus for saving us when we were helpless to save ourselves. Thank You for being our always dependable Rock of Ages!
